Hi Nancy, Fear not, many of our destinations are within 71 miles of SF---Healdsburg, West Marin & Point Reyes, Half Moon Bay, the San Mateo Coast, Napa, Sonoma. But we also cover destinations within four hours of the Bay Area. The borders are roughly Mendocino, Big Sur, and the Sierra. The weekly posts are topical and based on what to do right now in Northern California, things like chasing fall colors in the Sierra, or throwing an autumn beach barbecue near SF. Some are within 71 miles, some are not. Nose around the site for ideas. I'm sure you'll find some fun things to do near home. Sorry if our name misled you. I hope you'll stick with us! Best, John

I got excited about weekend get-a-ways 71 miles from the Bay Area.
I subscribed to the free email news letter. I was surprised to find out that the first 3 weekend get-aways are each more than 200 miles from San Francisco! That is Monitor Pass, Mono Lake, & Mt Lassen.

Please. Tell me how I can tell which of the trips mentioned in the 71Miles newsletter are actually 50-75 miles from San Francisco?
